We do train in unfavorable weather. We do not offer refunds to clients who cancel or fail to show up for class. Rescheduling will be judged on an individual basis. There is a $60 per person rescheduling fee. We do offer a refund or credit in the highly unlikely event Liberty Firearms Academy finds it necessary to cancel a class and we would contact you immediately to reschedule. This policy is firm and there are no exceptions.

We want to make sure you leave our classes with a solid foundation to make you the best protector of yourself and your loved ones. We believe in your right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness and will give you the tools through training to ensure that no one can take that away from you.

Can you supply Ammunition?

Ammunition is NOT included in the price of our firearm classes. We can supply ammunition for your class at competitive prices. If you plan on buying it from LFA please let us know 2 weeks before the class date to ensure we have your caliber of ammunition on hand.

If you need ammunition for our classes please contact Training@LibertyFirearmsAcademy.com, or your local gun shop.

With the current market for ammunition, please do not wait until the last minute to buy ammunition for your class.

NO Reloads. Reloaded ammunition is not allowed at Liberty Firearms Academy. Training is not the time to skimp on ammunition, and we have seen many problems with reloads in our classes over the years. If you use reloads in our classes, and you or other persons are injured, you will be held civilly liable for any and all damages that take place to others and our property. Please use new, factory loaded brass, aluminum or steel ammunition. If it is discovered that you are using reloaded ammunition, you will be removed from class with no refund.

Can a man join one of your Women’s Only Classes?

During our Women’s Only Classes please respect it means WOMEN ONLY. Our goal is to create a non-intimidating environment for women to ask questions and learn without fear of judgment. We can not tell you how many women thank us after their classes for this reason. If someone's husband, fiancee, boyfriend, etc. would like to sit in on the class with you please book a private class for the two of you or join a normal open enrollment class and we would be happy to accommodate you. If you are a male showing up for our Women’s Only Class you will be removed from class with no refund

What is the typical class size?

Class sizes vary depending on which class is being taught. We do limit our class sizes in order for you to receive maximum attention from the instructors. We maintain a high instructor to student ratio in all our classes. We believe in quality over quantity and you will get the individual attention you deserve in your class.

What class should I take first?

Defensive Handgun is our “core foundational" class and we recommend it as the first class from us regardless of your training path afterward.

What does a day of training consist of?

Classes are a mix of class instruction time and range time. Bring your own food and drinks to class for the day. The days are fast-paced, but keep in mind that we only have a limited amount of time with you. We want you to get the information and the skills that may save you or your families lives.

I don’t have a firearm, can I still take a class?

Yes, we can loan firearms for your class at no additional charge beyond the normal class admission. After the class, you will have a much better understanding of what to look for in a defensive firearm. We highly recommend if you do not currently own a firearm to please come and take a class first. We have seen buyers regret many times on our ranges when clients purchased a firearm in a gun store first and then have taken a class only to find out that what felt good in the store, did not feel good when shooting it. You will walk into your local gun shop with plenty of knowledge for a confident purchase. There is no additional charge when borrowing a firearm from us, but please be aware you are still responsible for buying your own ammunition that you use in the class for the loaned firearm.

What equipment do I need for my class?

There is a full required gear list on every course description. Please read it.

Do you train the physically impaired/ handicapped?

Yes we do. In a society where criminals prey on those they view as soft targets we are honored to work with physically impaired/ handicapped clients. Our students have included the wheelchair bound, people missing fingers, missing limbs, and those with vision impairments. Please contact us about your needs and we will make it happen.

How old do you have to be to take a class at Liberty Firearms Academy?

All students, regardless of age, must be responsible. If you are over the age of 18 you can join the military so you are able to take classes with us. If you are under the age of 18 parental supervision is required, no exceptions. We schedule many Private Family Classes with clients who wish to have their children who are under the age of 18 trained in proper defensive use of firearms and safety.
